10 Things Most People Don’t Know About Me

  1. I wanted to be a veterinarian for my entire childhood! I had a deep love and connection to animals of all kinds (except rodents... ew!). I could spend hours out riding my horse, grooming my 4-H calf, chasing around our dogs or loving the barn cats.

  2. I broke my nose when I was 9 years old (I know it looks pretty straight eh?!) Playing baseball with my cousins in their backyard and my very own sister hit a line drive to my face. I clearly wasn’t paying attention but, in my defence, she rarely hit the ball… (sorry Sis!)

  3. As a child I hated reading, I liked the idea of books but to sit down and actually do it – no thank you! BUT now I love it. A quiet Sunday afternoon with a good book and a warm cup of tea sounds like the perfect day.

  4. Sarcasm is my second language. Most times I can’t help myself, it just comes out.

  5. I looove a good Dad joke and I also laugh at my own jokes… mostly because I’m hilarious. Just ask my nieces! (Please feel free to email me your best Dad jokes or tag me on the gram - @simplynurtured!)

  6. I call my parents every Saturday morning… and sometimes in the afternoon and evening too. Even though we live almost 6 hours apart, we’re very close. One of the hardest parts of the 10-day silent meditation course I did in April was not being able to talk to my family.

  7. I love to learn! And if being a professional student would pay, sign me up!!

  8. I’m not a morning person… I want to be. Very badly and I’ve gone through stages where getting up early was definitely easier but truth be told… I love my bed. Haha.

  9. I can drive a standard. It surprises most people but lest you forget I grew up on a farm. I learned the stick in a grain truck in an open field. It really is the best place to learn how to drive because can’t really run into things. I can’t say the same about learning to ride a bike in town and running into a parked car... the car was fine. I was not. (live and learn)
