Cheezy Kale Chips

Before you get all "Really, kale....?" on me, I think you should know that kale chips are where it's at. If done correctly, they are satisfyingly crunchy, salty, and cheezy in every bite. Oh and then there's the fact that you're eating a salad in chip form so can you really even go wrong? I don't think so! Which is why we make these on the regular. Enjoy!


Cheezy Kale Chips

Serves 2-4 (depending on how much you want to share)


Ingredients

  • 1 large bunch of Kale

  • 2 tbsp Coconut Oil (melted)

  • 3 tbsp of Nutritional Yeast

  • 1/2 tsp Sea Salt


Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 300 F.

  2. Destem kale and place leaves in a large bowl. Massage the oil into the kale leaves.

  3. Add the nutritional yeast and sea salt and mix thoroughly so that the kale is evenly coated.

  4. Arrange kale leaves on a baking sheet in a single layer. Don't overcrowd. You may need to bake in a few batches.

  5. Bake in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until crispy. (I suggest watching them closely around the 10-minute mark so you don't burn them. You may need to remove some and give others a bit more time to crisp up.)

  6. Toss them into a bowl and enjoy!
